A LETTER FROM THE EDITOR

You are invited to be part of this movement. We need you at the table. We need your opinion.

May 7, 2024

Greetings,

Right now, young Latinos are one of the fastest growing populations affected by fentanyl-related deaths.

It's time to interrupt this cycle.

This issue matters to all of us, it has the ability to touch us all.

And I know it personally.

On Saturday, July 18, 2020, our beloved brother Dylan passed away due to a Fentapill related death. This forever changed our family and has inspired me to make sure everyone I know is equipped with the life-saving information available about fentanyl.

Dylan was a wonderful son, brother, father and friend who touched those around him.

He adored his Siberian Huskies, Hector and Ceasor, and loved taking them to dog parks regularly. He hoped to start traveling, he dreamed of visiting his uncles and cousins in Uruguay and the national parks. He found tranquility in nature and was happiest outdoors.

We need young people like Dylan in this world. We need your creativity, your vision, your loyalty and your courage.

We call on the family to lend their energy, prayer and passion to this developing movement.

A movement that moves us away from loss and suffering and towards our shared legacy of hope.

Will you join us?
